Default Monday 1/7/13 workout A

right play time over back too work, will be doing 3 x full body sessions a week A,B,C. The full body workouts are pre-steroid inspired mainly based on Steve reeves full body workouts but broken down in to three different workouts, so squats and dead-lifts will be at the end of workouts and a rep goal of 30 totals reps on all exercises except the deadlift.

bb bench press @ 87kg 12,10,7 = 29

chin ups @ bw 5,5,3,1 = 14

military press @ 47kg 10,10,7 = 27

bb curls @ 32kg 10,12,10 = 32 +2.5kg

squats @ 107kg 9,7,7 = 23 felt like puking on the first set.

standing bb calf raises @ 107kg 15,16,20 = 51 bar on back.

squats a the end felt hard to start with but felt better on the second and third set, plus the weather has been pretty hot as well.

Strong first session of the new plan, i've been thinking of upping my rep goals recently too but haven't decided if i will yet. With GSLP the squats are put at the end of the workout because most people want to leave after heavy squats is this the same reason ?

TBH I don't really know but what I can tell you is that I have done a fair bit of reading on the pre-steroid era of bb and a lot of the bb back then started there workouts with bench press or press, I read that Steve reeves and a few others from that time said squatting at the start of the workout robbed there strength for the other lifts and took a lot out of there legs during there long full body sessions, I have wanted to try it for a while now.
