Thank you guys, and I'll be careful, don't worry! I still can't train my chest, but nice to hit a reasonable weight for the first time in nearly three months.

Anyhow, absolutely massive session today and I am utterly exhausted. Away to spend time with family tomorrow and over the weekend so thought I'd utterly smash some weights today to take advantage of the three days I'll have off and eating lots of food.

God-****ing-dammit. If common sense reigned supreme then I would've pulled lighter for my PB attempt, but one of my training partners 'encouraged' me to go for 2.5kg above what another training partner hit a week or so ago. And I almost had it...

I got the bar just above my knees and it stalled, took another breath and tried to hump the bar like I was mating with the fury of a thousand gods and it started to slide up my leg again. Reached roughly my leotard and my right hand slid open and it slipped out my hands. Couldn't say for 100% that I would have locked it if grip wasn't a problem, but it was pretty damn close nonetheless.

We really need a new bar in the gym with sharp knurling.

The same exercise that Al did last night (and he 'stole' from me :P) and I wanted to hit something massive to make up for the missed deadlift. So I did. 300kg with the plates only 5" off the floor isn't too bad, if I do say so myself. Tempted to pull sumo off the floor next week.

Exhausted by this point so just hit a solid triple and called it a day.

Either way you're only one gram away from manhandling that weight. Just another step closer to 700.
