Mikes Karbolyn Log
I will be testing out AAEFX Karbolyn over the next couple of weeks. I am 38 years old and recently switched over to Olympic lifting two months ago from power lifting. I am 230 pounds and my best lifts are a 560 squat, 410 bench, 610 dead lift, 226 power snatch, and a 286 Clean and Jerk.
Tue:Clean and Jerk to max, Clean pulls 3x3, RDLs
Thurs:Snatch to max, Snatch Pulls 3x3, Back Squat
Sat:Snatch and C&J to max, Jerk from boxes, Front squat
All sessions except Sunday take two to three hours to complete.
I also run twice a week.
I am going one scoop flavored to sip on during workouts and one scoop mixed with protein powder after. I may buy some extra to take with a shake sometime during the day in the future.
I have been taking supplements since the eighties. From Cybergenics to Joe Weiders Crash Weight gain, I have tried it. I believe in a few basic supplements and I have always tried to take carbs around my workouts simply because I feel better after. I have tried Waxy Maize, Dextrose, and Vitagro in the past and want a carb powder that is easy to digest. If it keep my energy levels up during my workouts and helps me keep my weight up then its a keeper.
I got my powder in today and took one scoop mixed with protein powder. The powder mixes very easily and left no clumps. It was easy to drink and I am suffering no stomach discomfort or bloating. Nothing else to report but thank you AAEFX for giving me a chance to test this out.

Quick update on Karbolyn. I did about an hour and a half or weed eating this morning and decided to throw two scoops (100 g carbs) of the orange flavor with some ice to sip on after I was done. I wish I would have asked for 4 pounds of flavored! Taste is really good and digested really well. I dont feel bloated or sleepy from all the carbs at one time. This may be a solid product to use for people who want to gain weight or on a carb cycling diet. Not just post workout. Very easy way to get 100 grams of Carbs without feeling like crap.
Very cool Mike. I don't suppose anyone who got samples of Karbolyn runs self blood glucose tests? I'm interested in how it gets along with the pancreas.

I volunteered because I have always made an effort to drink some type of carb source after and during my workouts. Sometimes its just been vitagro, Waxy Maize or just regular soda but I feel better and refreshed after doing it. If someone feels the same way then I can test out whether Karbolyn is a good product for digestibility and recovery enhancement. If I feel the same way drinking Mountain Dew as I do drinking Karbolyn then rest assured I will tell everybody.

1 scoop of flavored Karbolyn during workout. This stuff is no problem to drink while your training. No stomach discomfort and a nice flow of energy throughout the entire session.

5k race last night. Mexican food, beer, and a big peanut butter sandwich after, forgot my Karbolyn! Down to 228 this morning!:mad: I do need to run more during the week. Very disappointed with my conditioning levels.
