Caffiene has a diuretic effect as with most stims, also the muscle relaxers and pain pills can cause dry mouth too. So I'm wondering if the combination of all of the above are the cause. I would try to up water intake as much as possible.

Tired again today. Didn't sleep well again last night. Looking forward to a kid-free three day weekend when all I have to worry about is eating and sleeping, and I plan to do plenty of both.

Mixed the MM with about 24 oz. of ice water today thinking that would make it more palatable or would at least less grainy. I think it made it worse. And I hate ice water (I prefer my water to be room temperature) so I'm not going to do that again. The BCAA's sink like stones, but they make a real purdy purple and blue-speckled white silt at the bottom of the bottle. The full body tingly/prickly feeling it gives me almost immediately after drinking it is so bizarre.

I really REALLY did not want to work out today. Almost convinced myself not to. But I decided to (wo)man up and get down there, and I'm glad I did.

Shoulders/Forearms


Military Press: 50x9 40x10 40x10 40x10
Seated Arnie Press: 50x8 40x10 40x10
Lateral Raise Dropsets (10 reps each weight...was supposed to be Power Side Laterals but I couldn't figure out what those were):
1st set - 20,15,12 2nd set - 15,12,10 3rd set - 12,10,8
Reverse Lateral Raises: 20x10 20x10 20x10
Shrugs (was supposed to be Power Shrugs but when I found out how to do them I was confused and everyone was calling them "cheat" shrugs so I didn't do it that way): 110x7 (w/dumbbells) 90x10 (w/Smith) 90x10 (w/Smith)
Wrist Curl Over Bench: 15x15 15x15
Static Barbell Hold: 2 reps of 24 lbs @ 30 sec. each.

It feels weird to do forearm isolation exercises because it just seems a little overkill. But I did them anyway because I do want to increase my grip strength, which forearm exercises are supposed to do, apparently.
