OK, its Friday, I haven't touched the iron in 6 days...I couldn't wait any longer, so I went out and just did some fun things I have been meaning to try....nothing strenuous, but I justified it in my head that I was preventing soreness from when I start back up Monday....or, maybe Sunday......

Fired myself up with the Condence, NOxygen stack....as usual endless energy, great focus, and with all the upper back work, the pump was there...man, wish it would just stick around the next day....

BB Rows: Took some time to read up on them and watch some videos, realized I was ego driven, and doing poor rows with too much weight, so I started at 95 lbs and did Pendleys super strick...

95 x 6
105 x 6
115 x 6
125 x 6
125 x 6

Power cleans, I have only done these once before...and again, studied up on them this week because I really want to add them in

95 x 6
105 x 6
115 x 6
125 x 6
125 x 6

High Pulls:
Been wanting to do these since I read they were a staple lift of my hero, Doug Hepburn.
95 x 6
105 x 6
115 x 6
120 x 6
120 x 6

I then took my sledgehammer and wailed away on my tractor tire until I couldn't wail away any more

I FEEL GREAT!!!!!!
It felt soooooo good to feel my Iron Mistress in my hands again....I was gonna start back up Monday....but I don't think I can wait that long....looks like Sunday will be the day.

Good god I freakin LOVE weight training!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Sunday, 6-22-14
Week 1, Day 1

Supposed to start back up tomorrow (Monday) but COULD NOT WAIT any longer

Also I went in with unrealistic expectations as to how well I was gonna do first real day back....but my Iron Mistress quickly reminded me .......

McGill BIG 3

Power Cleans:
95 x 5
105 x 3
115 x 3
125 x 3
130 x 2

Squats:
45 x 10
135 x 6
185 x 5

200 x 5
230 x 5
260 x 3...last on was all goodmorning....should have racked and come back, but I didnt

RDL's:
135 x 6
185 x 6

225 x 8
265 x 8
295 x 6

Back Raises w/ 65 lbs

12

Not too bad first day back...

Thighs were pumped up, so was lower back....too much actually....As usual, plenty of gas left in the tank when I ended, could have gone of for a while.....

Special treat tonight...Zach90 is visiting Not Your Average Moe's Gym to train...always a great session when Zach visits.

I'd still be bed ridden after an effort like you gave at your meet! But I know the feeling of wanting to get back at it. Good workout, not at all bad.

Thursday, 6-26-14
Week 1, Day 3

McGill BIG 3

Deads:
135 x 6
185 x 4
210 x 5
240 x 5
270 x 11

240 x 5
210 x 12

Squat BBB:
45 x 8
135 x 6

155 x 10
155 x 10
155 x 10
155 x 10
155 x 10

GREAT session, after Mondays poor Squat session, I didnt know what to expect. I went after 3 1/2 hours sleep last night......

3 hours sleep at my last meet and went 9-9 with 4PR's, 3 1/2 hrs last night and I killed it on the deads....maybe this sleep stuff is over rated??

Doug Hepburn said he could recover well, and keep making strength gains on little sleep.....if he

Anyway...my condense / NOxygen stack had me primed and ready to ge...even with the lack of sleep.

I attacked the weights tonight...and STILL had plenty in the tank afterwards....and after the 50 squats...thighs looked like hams, and even had veins sticking out on them....
