Prep week, no weight on the back. This is it for leg work this week. Got the blood flowing, don't think i did too much, we shall see.

Freak Maker Build

Mixed this up right before I began session, set in the fridge and went to work out. Perfect shake like consistency when I went back to the fridge.

Taste 9/10
Side Effects 9/10 - no bloating, no after taste
Pump - Being a post workout, this is hard to evaluate. I did notice some arm vascularity a few hours post.

The rest we will see tomorrow.

Looking good and yes the taste is awesome I think too! Great lifts and a smart idea by backing off a little and saving your body for the meet!

Freak Maker Build Update
Woke up with no DOMS, feeling good. I feel as though my recovery is great and enhanced by this product. My plan is to make use of FMB during the day of the meet. Looking forward to seeing how FMB aids me in crushing some PRs.

Yesterday was a final day in the gym with the boys. They are as ready as they are going to be. I am proud of them, only one has been lifting longer than a year, they all have come a long way in a few short months.

Any way, rather than bore you with my Bird Dogs and Empty bar Presses, I will just talk about Freak Maker Build (FMB).

I ordered the vanilla flavor because my view is that it is harder to get vanilla right than chocolate. Next to bacon, cocoa is the best flavoring agent out there. Actually, in my opinion, vanilla is a step above chocolate, but i am in the minority. At any rate, this FMB tastes great. It has a nice sweet but light vanilla flavor, not as strong as say a french vanilla. It almost has a cake batter type of taste. I would put it similar to my homemade ice cream recipe.

It mixes easily and thoroughly with little to no residue left at the bottom of the cup. There is also little to no foaming. It works well in both water and milk product. I like to mix it up before workout, stick it in the fridge and chug it after workout. It thickens into a nice shake during that time.

The creatine contained in FMB is minimal compared to other similar products, but I still notice its presence. I am one that gets real thirsty after using creatine, I haven noticed my thirst up after using FMB.

I have noticed NO ill effects from the carbs used in FMB. That is a win. No bloating or excessive gas, no trots or constipation. Intestinal perfection!

I am noticing a better recovery time. I will attribute that to FMB.

TASTE 9/10
SIDE EFFECTS 9/10
PUMP - HARD TO EVALUATE
ENDURANCE 9/10
STRENGTH/ RECOVERY 9/10

Meet write up can be found here : http://muscleandbrawn.com/forums/showthread.php?t=17188

Today was Day 1 of prep for our next meet. I met with the boys yesterday. Another teen, who has been in and out of our gym, came in, saw my medal hanging on the bulletin board and said. "I want want one of those!" Our team has grown, in two days, from 6 of us to 8 of us with 2-3 others considering joining us. I may have to move the Dog House over to the Church, just to have enough equipment to train all these new folks.

Precontest Prep, day One

Warmups
Bird Dogs
McGill Crunches
Rolling Planks
Hip Mobility work

Squats
45 x 10
135 x 5
185 x 3
210 x 3 x 3

Front Squats
135 x 3 x 2

Paused Squats
150 x 5 x 4

Good Mornings
100 x 12 x 3

NOTES
I didn't get to the last three accessory exercises. The first part of this week is crazy and I had to get started on some of the craziness before having to drive to a Presbytery Meeting this afternoon.

I am still tight and more sore than I expected from Saturday. That said, today went well. I am going to be patient and look forward. No cart a head of the horse these 10 weeks.

Freak Maker Build
I apologize for not checking in sooner. As you can see from my recap linked to above, Saturday was interesting to say the least. I had taken some FMB with me to drink during the day. My nerves were so bad, I had 2 bananas, 1 pecan twirl and some javawhey and that was it until we hit the Buffet after the meet. Then I ate like a pig.

Today I used FMB as both a pre-workout carb source and post workout source. Due to my schedule today, I had to move my training to first thing in the AM, after getting wife off to work. When I woke I mixed up a shaker cup full of FMB. Nice and filling and a great way to start the day. Followed by a Cup of Coffee, I then hit the Dog House about 1..5 hours later.

Workout went well. Focus was good. No weak feeling sometimes felt with morning training. Strength was good. No gas or bloating. I felt great. My only limitation was the clock today.

Post workout, I mixed up another cup and put in the Fridge while I went and showered. No worries, I mean God forbid, that I would miss the anabolic window, LOL. After my shower I chugged it down. (My kids can't believe how quickly I drink shakes) Any way, I really like this product. I like the taste, and look forward to drinking it. I like the mix and texture, no grit or excess powder. I like the benefits I am finding to my recovery. Thus far this is an 8-9/10 product.

I like the Karbolyn contained within this product. I do not get any bloating or gassiness from the carbs. I get the energy to continue on for the night after taking FMB. This would make a good meal substitute in a pinch.
