Bought a 3 liter water from target - pre mixed it with 3 scoops of AminOD. Excited to see how it works during my 530am workout tomorrow!

Use 7: 3 scoops sipped pre/intra/past workout on OHP + accessory

Mixibility: 10
So I found a wide mouth 3 liter water jug and wanted to try actually "sipping" pre/intra/post workout. 3 scoops in that much water, shaken vigorously mixed well and foamed less than when I used a shaker bottle and shook the crap out of it. As usual, premixing and letting it sit in the fridge ensure great mixibility with no residual or granules.

Taste: 9
3 scoops in 3 liters is slightly less powder per water volume than I was using before and the flavor was excellent! Very refreshing, no significant tartness and I even picked up more of a strawberry flavor.

Recovery: 9
DOMS post deadlift day was exceptionally minimal so AminOD definitely helped with that. Furthermore, sipping on AminOD pre and intra workout helped with recovery during my "fasted" 5:30am high volume training. Lactic Acid was minimal until pull-ups and lateral raises. Even post workout I felt like I "lifted", but wasn't exhausted.

Thanks big guy!

Use 8:
3 scoops pre/intra/post-workout on SQ + accessory

Mixibility: 10
3 scoops in 3 liters of water mixes like a charm; it's definitely an "act" to shake 3 liters of water vigorously lol, but as usual, no foaming or residual granules.

Taste: 9
AminOD was exceptionally refreshing and just what the doctor ordered for my Squat workout. Given the high volume nature of my routine, I enjoy taking big "chugs" of water, so 3 liters gives me a nice balance between water volume and flavor. I think the ratio of 1 scoop: 1 liter of water will be my standard moving forward. As usual, no strawberry flavor, which is a bummer, but the limeade is quite refreshing and not tart with that much water.

Recovery: 9
Minimal morning DOMS after yesterday's OHP + accessory workout (slight amount in triceps), but I felt awesome during the squat workout. I may have rush my third working set of squats so I lost a rep or two, but I was able to add weight/reps to leg extensions and I slowed my rep speed for SLDLs which gave me a niceeee burn, but I felt able to walk after the gym lol. All in all, AminOD helps considerably with keeping lactic acid under control as well as helps "tide me over" until I can eat solid food (finish lifting at 6:45 am and eat "breakfast" at 8am)

Use 9: 2 scoops intraworkout on BP + accessory in PM

Mixibility: 10
Mixed 1 scoop in a full shaker of water, drank that, and then mixed 1 scoop in another shaker of water and drank that. AminOD continues to mix perfectly and quickly de-foams once I'm done shaking it like a mad man lol. No residual or granules after the first fill up.

Taste: 8
Even flavor during both fill-ups with AminOD. As per usual, strawberry flavor was exceptionally light and 1 scoop in 20+ ounces of water meant a relatively subtle limeade flavor as well; not that I'm complaining as I needed the fluids after a day of travel and a long weekend of drinking lol

Recovery: 8
I didn't take any AminOD during the weekend, but the Calf DOMS from last Thursday was wicked and nearly prevented me from walking correctly over the weekend. With the exception of crippling calf DOMS, recovery intra-workout was solid and I completed my workout feeling sufficiently "worked" without feeling wiped out. The incline treadmill helped to get some blood flowing to my calves.

I haven't seen the label info. What is special about this bcaa. The market is flooded with some great bcaa.

Use 10: 3 scoops pre/intra/post workout on DL + accessory in AM

Mixibility: 9.5
3 scoops in 3 liters of water during my morning workout mixes like a charm; a bit more foaming when I shake it the night prior, before putting it in the fridge. But onceI wake up, there's no foam or residual granules.

Taste: 9
3 scoops in 3 liters of water confirms that AminOD maintains a consistent taste when I scale the recipe up. A little more limeade tang this morning and less strawberry flavor than usual (aka no strawberry flavor). However, I did notice that swishing AminOD in my mouth leaves a slightly stronger taste, which makes sense if you're encouraged to sip it lol.

Recovery: 9
The combination of ample water and ample AminOD pre/intra/post helped me to crush this morning's DL + accessory workout. I added weight and/or reps and/or exceeded the rep goal on every exercise. Some fatigue during power shrugs, but that's to be expected after lifting twice in less than 12 hours. However, Calf DOMS hasn't gone away, which is actually becoming a bit concerning... :/

Label info is at the top of the log :P

It's a EAA and not a BCAA product.

Quote:
1. David mentions EAA, which is a supplement consisting of the eight essential amino acids. EAA is somewhat more popular than BCAA here in Sweden.

The difference between the two is that BCAA-supplements primarily consist of branched-chain amino acids, which are the three aminos most intimately involved in muscle protein metabolism and synthesis.

I'm saying primarily because manufacturers also tend to add some other as well, such as beta-alanine and citrulline malate to Purple Wraath and Xtend, which are the brands I personally use and recommend.

The research on free-form aminos and muscle protein synthesis (MPS) has typically used EAA-mixtures. MPS is maximally stimulated by 10 g EAA in conjunction with fasted state training, which is why I recommend 10 g EAA or BCAA for fasted training.

There are no comparative studies on EAA and BCAA. For now you can simply assume that they are simply interchangeable. I plan on addressing this topic again. But don't worry, there won't be any shocking surprises...I think.

Good info. The fact that it is an eaa product changes what my opinion would have been.
