The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Default 12/2/13

1/2/3 Training Experiment

Taking this month to experiment a bit with protocol. 1/2/3 will function like this: Week 1 work up to heavy singles on the 4 main lifts, trying to get to 90% of training max. Week 2 work up to heavy doubles, if possible using the same weights at week 1, however I will go by how i feel. Week 3 work up to heavy triples, again, governed by how I feel. Week 4 cut weight to 50-60% of max lifts and lift for reps.

Day 1 went like this:

Squats
Warmups - Paused Squats
5 x 45
5 x 133
5 x 183

3 x 221
1 x 241
1 x 263
1 x 273
1 x 275 Training PR
10 x 155

Seated calf Raises
3 x 10 x 103

RDL
3 x 10 x 135

Hanging Knee Raises
Center, Left, Right
5 5 5
5 5 5
5 5 5

NOTES
Due to busy 1st Monday Schedule, this session was shorter than desired but still a good session for first one back from a walk away deload.
Squats - felt good and strong. I may have been able to do another single, but I didn't want to press things too quickly.

Purus Labs
Condense - Strong focus and as you can see above, strength was up. This product is a good pre-workout which provides consistent focus and energy. The pump is good and lasts for quite a while after the session.

D-pol - As a DAA product this one is a great product. While I usually like to take it in capsule form, this flavored powder is very good. It's mixability is not perfect, but overall this is a good option for someone wanting a DAA product.

NOTES
Finished with all my travels until May. Now it is time to focus. Found out today that there is a local meet in Mid March. Now considering giving it a go. It is about 6 months before I planned to do a meet, but I feel it might be good to get my feet wet before the October meet.

Purus Labs
D-Pol - finished up my container this weekend. As DAA products go,this is a good product. I prefer a capsule to the powder, as I have found the powders do not mix too well, but this powder was pretty good. I felt as though it did what I was asking it to do, inch my test levels up. I do not have any blood work scheduled so I will not really know exactly.

Condense - Great focus today. Strength is up. I don't get crazy jitters or tingling, it just does its job.

Thinking and Praying about it. Head and heart want to, wallet, at the moment is second guessing.

NOTES
Took forever to finish up due to all of the interruptions. I am going to have to stop training at the church. I cherish the alone time, I will need to get back to the Dog House for that quiet.

I am still working on figuring out my weights on some of the accessory work. Aside from that, I am enjoying myself.

Praying about a March 15, 2014 meet. I want a chance to get my feet wet before the fall, but question whether I will be ready.

Also, I need to be more accountable for some kind of conditioning work. Not a treadmill or running guy, still working through this. Input?

Purus Labs
Condense - still working great. increased my dosage a bit. No side affects other than I had to pee not too long after starting, but the 20 oz of liquid I had before and during taking the Condense may have contributed to that. My focus was great, it was every one else's that stunk. Between the phone calls and the gentleman coming up to the gym to find out when the refrigerator will be fixed ( I just started benching while he talked), This session took forever. The Condense powered me through the entire session and some.
