2/20: 2 scoops on squat + accessory day

Energy:
I was pretty anxious/eager for my top set of back squats so the extra caffeine definitely had me flying through my warm-up work. Energy stayed strong the entire workout despite throwing 2 quad/hip dominant and 2 hamstring dominant big barbell exercises at my legs.

Focus:
Focus on the top set was insane – I was only mentally prepared to hit 10 reps, but I powered through and got 13 reps – may have had one more in me but I was breathing so heavily that I didn’t want to collapse lol. Focus on front squats and RDLs was on point as well

Pump:
Little pump in my glutes and hips after back squats, but the pump increased in the quads noticeable after front squats and leg extensions. Slight pump in the lower back and nice pump in the hamstrings, but nothing crazy today.

2/24: 2 scoops on OHD Press + accessory day

Energy:
After my afternoon nap, I wasn’t sure if I’d get a second wind to lift heavy, but sure enough after about 20 minutes post-ingestion of juggernaut HP, a noticeable boost of energy. I completed everything in about 90 minutes and energy was solid and steady up until accessory OHD work then I started noticing my triceps/shoulders fatiguing.

Focus:
Focus on the warm up and top set of standing OHD Press was excellent. Lost some focus on weighted chins, but regained it for paused bench where I basically blocked out the surrounding environment and crushed the BBB sets. Focus started to taper towards the end of the workout but that’s because I was getting a bit tired.

Pump:
Awesome pump in the traps, shoulders, and triceps from all the pressing today – didn’t limit ROM but I could feel some fatigue. 1-arm BB rows gave an insanely sick pump throughout my entire back (lats, upper back), forearms, and biceps even.

2/25: 2 scoops on Deadlift + accessory day

Energy:
Didn’t sleep so well last night, so energy was a little low entering the workout. Once I got going and warmed up for deadlifts, I felt alright but never exceptionally energized. I rallied for the top set of deadlift but coasted through the rest of the workout. Fatigue set in earlier than usual today

Focus:
Took some rallying to focus for the deadlift top set, but I was able to crush the top set with progression (440x6 on deadlifts). Focus on BBB Squats was decent but after that I struggled to maintain focus.

Pump:
Slight pump in my hammies after GHRs, quads after leg press, and traps after shrugs, but other than that I felt sorness in the upper back more than I felt a pump. I was expecting better pumps considering how many carbs I had yesterday.

2/27: 2 scoops on bench + accessory day

Energy:
I felt pretty solid the entire day and thought it would carry over in to the gym, however even before my bench top set, everything felt heavier than it should have – I’m sure exactly why that is. I managed to hit a few singles (230 and 240 paused) before my top set, but afterwards, I kinda felt like I was on auto-pilot. But I didn’t manage to fit in a lot of volume in a short time period

Focus:
I had some trouble focusing (as I often do), during the bench warm-up and top sets. However, focus increased during the accessory work, but I definitely had to make a conscious effort to focus intensely immediately before and during the top sets – this is unusually because it typically doesn’t require as much of a conscious effort.

Pump:
One of the best upper body pumps I’ve ever had – vascularity was unreal as well. Notable pumped areas include triceps, lats, shoulders, upper back, and biceps. Slight chest pump, but not as much as I was expecting.

3/1/13: 2 scoops on back squat + accessory day

Energy:
Energy was sky high going in to the back squat top set; even after my back-off sets, I had enough energy for snatch grip deads, front squats, RDLs, and abs! My muscles were feeling a bit tired, but physically and mentally, energy was solid throughout the work out.

Focus:
I was really focusing on keeping the knees out on back squats, but I focused on it a little too much, so I didn’t stay tight throughout the upper back. Nonethtless, focus picked up back during SGDLs, front squats (after I dropped working weight), and RDLs. Focus was lacking on abs.

Pump:
Nothing spectacular after back squats, but nice upper back pump after snatch grip deads, quads after front squats, and hammies after RDLs.

3/3: 2 scoops on overhead 3-rep day

Energy:
Even though I didn’t sleep too well last night (went out drinking lol), energy boost from juggernaut was noticeable today and helped me to power through some serious volume with low rest time. Energy slightly decreased during minor shoulder work but other than that, it was solid.

Focus:
I was having a little trouble focusing while warming up for overhead press, but once I started my top set, that all changed and I got tunnel vision and crushed my top set. After that, it was smooth sailing and I was easily able to stay focused right up until the end of the workout

Pump:
Insane pump in the triceps and shoulders (btw should pump is rare for me); great pump in the lats and biceps after my pulling movements and even had a pump going in my traps despite no direct trap work. Vascularity was also nice and high (thank you agmatine!)

3/4/13: 2 scoops on deadlift + accessory

Energy:

I didn’t sleep very well last night, but I went in to the workout optimistic. Luckily 300mg of caffeine had me kicking and flying through my warm-up in no time Energy was sky high during deadlifts and stayed strong during BBB squats. Started to fade a little during GMs and Leg Press, but I got a second wind and decided to hit some calves, abs, and hip work.

Focus:
Focus on the top set of deadlift was unreal – I could feel all the right muscles firing. Mind-muscle connection was solid on squats and GMs. Lost a little focus during abs and leg press, but regained it during calves.

Pump:
Nice little pump in the upper back after deadlifts; hammies, quads, and glutes were very pumped after squats, good mornings, and leg press. Finished the workout with a little calve pump too.

3/6/13: 2 scoops on paused bench + accessory

Energy:
Solid energy entering the workout which was further increased by 2 scoops of juggernaut – flew through my warm up and had energy for some insane volume fit in to 90 minutes of lifting today – I’m very pleased with how great I felt the entire workout despite keeping rest periods shorts on heavy compound exercises

Focus:
I have a hard time focusing on flat bench and despite my best efforts, the top set didn’t go as well as I would have liked – I hit above the prescribed reps on the top set but I had a hard time visualizing and thinking of all the proper cues while pressing. Nevertheless, regained focus and crushed the accessory work.

Pump:
Insane upper body pumps – triceps and upper chest were spasming at the end of the workout from benching, incline pressing, and rope pushdowns. Also had a nice pump in the upper back from reverse flies, my entire back from CSRs and low rows. High rep shrugs left my should girdle with a nice pump too

3/8/13: 2 scoops on back squat + accessory

Energy:
Was feeling pretty “blah” going in to today’s workout, however after warming up and foam rolling, I could feel a slight boost. Nonetheless, after warming up for squats I somehow had the energy to absolutely crush my entire workout – progressing in both weight and reps. The strangest part was that I never really felt “energized”.

Focus:
Focus was lacking today and I felt like I was on auto pilot during the warm-up. Finally got some focus during the top sets but was on auto pilot for the rest of the workout – not that I’m complaining considering I progressed on RDLs and snatch grip deadlifts

Pump:
Wicked pump in my quads after front squats, in my lats/upper back after snatch grip deads, and entire posterior chain after RDLs. Nice little ab pump after rollouts to round out the workout.

3/17: 2.5 scoops on bench + accessory day

Energy:
After the past week off (spring break – woot!), I was a little worried about today’s workout. Thus I bumped it up to 2.5 scoops today. And holy crap, the increase in energy from that extra 0.5 scoop was insane. I was so jazzed for my top set – kinda pissed I didn’t crush it but I had fairly high energy throughout the entire workout

Focus:
Focus going in to the top set was insane, but unfortunately my spotter jumped the gun on the lift-off so it kinda screwed over my top set – after that it was tough to focus but I was able to muster enough focus to hit my upper body with some serious volume.

Pump:
Pump in the tricep and bicep department was insane today. Shoulder/tricep/ and back pump was lacking a bit, but it happens. Also had a nice little upper back pump which is rare for me but felt nice
