Sorry to high jack your thread. 150 kg hell yea.
No problem jacking the thread, dude. It's nice to get comments on my log from time to time. I really like the traditional Japanese look a lot. Mine is going to be a more classic/traditional Western style. I think. In any case the artist is doing a good job so far and I trust him to finish it up how he's doing it now.

I went to the town down the road to lift so as per usual I was in a rush. I had to skip curls and planks, but I got in my core lifts and all that. Here's what my session looked like after warming up:

Dead Lifts: 5,5,5,5 x 170kg
Standing Military Press: 5,5,5,10,10,10,20 x 35kg (hit rep goal)
Leg Press: 16,15,15 x 146kg
Pull-Ups: 13,12,11 x (body weight = ~96kg)
Close-Grip Bench: 12,7 x 85kg

I'll stay at 170kg on Deads again next week. I just eeked them out probably with poor form this time so better to do it right. I'll try and get my other lifts in there next time as well. But first, on Friday it's 20 rep squat day! Yay!

Everyone's a tattoo fan! When's the meet?

Despite getting in a little late I was able to bang out most of my program today (I skipped out on triceps extensions cause I was short on time and someone broke the machine). Here's what my workout looked like after I finished warming up:

Squat: 21 x 110kg
Hack Squat: 11,9 x 105kg
Dips: 11,11,8 x body weight (~96kg) +20kg
Bar Rows: 13,12,11 x 55kg
Arnold Press: 13,12,12 x 20kg DBs
Incline DB Curls: 12,12 x 20kg DBs
Planks: 5 x 20sec.

Got a nice, relaxing weekend coming up and then I'll be back in the weight room and then the tattoo room on Monday.

Default Week 19, Workout A

I had a good hour before my tattoo session today (thanks, predictably late Moldovans!) so I hammered out my workout before my skin was annihilated by the tattoo artist. It's almost over though. Maybe 2 more sessions then I'll be done (with the tattoo, not the weight lifting of course).

Here's what I did today after warming up:

"Boxish" Squats (I set a bench up so my butt touched it each set as a point of reference so don't know if that's an official box squat or not): 6,4,5 x 150kg
Bench: 5,5,5,10,10,10,18 x 75kg
Underhand Grip BB Row: 9,8,8 x 90kg
Upright Rows: 9,9,8 x 60kg
Skull Crushers: 13,12 x 35kg
Concentration Curls: 10,8 x 20kg
Ab Wheel Roll-Outs: 21,23

I should be back in the big city on Wednesday for more weight room and tattoo parlor torture. Can't wait!

That is a tough old workout and a lot of reps.

21 x 110 on squats is impressive.

I'm going to try to beat those dips tomorrow

Do it!

Today's my birthday so I decided to max out on Deadlifts and Military press because, well... why not? After a straight year and some change of lifting regularly this is the first time I've maxed out on anything. I've been really close to 180kg ("four plates") on DL so I figured I'd give myself a birthday present and try to hit it.

As you'll see I ran out of steam on the rest of the workout so the rest wasn't all that impressive. Here's what my workout looked like including warm-ups (PRs are in bold):

Deadlift: 5x100, 5x140, 3x160, 2x170, 1x175, 1x180, 1x185kg
Military Press: 10xbar, 5x40, 3x50, 3x55, 1x60, 1x65kg (failed)
Squats: 8x100, 8x100, 10x100kg (lighter weight for super tight form)
Pull-Ups (neutral grip): 3x5x(body weight)

...and...dead...time to drink a protein shake and get some lunch.

I won't be lifting for the next couple days as I'm going out of town to see some friends. Not quite sure what the rest of my workouts will look like for the next couple months since I'll be traveling through Asia on my way back to the States and then I'll be all over the place. I'll post what happens though. I promise.

Thanks, Rob. I'll see what I can do!

Today was my last day working out at the gym down the road. Since I'm not trying to be taking a sketchy bag full of white powder across multiple borders, I left the rest of my creatine with the kids at the gym. They seemed to appreciate it. Hopefully they start squatting and get some use out of it.

Here's what I did today after warming up:

Squat: 20 x 115kg
Hack Squat: 11,10 x 110kg
Dips: 12,10,10 x (body weight) +20kg
Bar Rows: 12,11,10 x 60kg
Arnold Press: 12,11,10 x 20kg DBs
Incline DB Curls: 8,6 x 25kg
Planks: 3 x 25 sec.

I have no idea when I'll be back in the weight room. I'll be on a bus to Romania on Wednesday and then I'll be all over the place for the next five weeks. I'm bringing my dip belt with me though so as long as I can find two things to put my hands on to elevate my feet I can attach my wife to it or something and get a workout in...

Default Pull Day

So now all my worldly possessions are in a bag here in my room with me here in Brasov, Romania. Of course along with clothes, toiletries and my wife's junk are my dip belt and my lifting straps. Gotta have priorities.

I worked out today at a surprisingly nice gym. Paid ~$5 for a day of pulling stuff. Since I'll be working out 2 days in a row and then not again for a few more days I decided to split my full body workout into push and pull days so I could make the best of it. Here's what I did after warming up:

DLs: 5,5,5,1 x 170kg (felt really weak today and didn't want to push it)
Rows: 9,10,10 x 80kg
Wide Grip Pull-Ups: 15,11,10 x Body Weight
Upright Rows: 8,8,8 x 60kg
Close Grip Pull-Ups: 15,10,10 x Body Weight
Concentration Curls: 10,8 x 15kg
Ab Wheel Roll-Outs: 20,21

Like I was saying I felt really weak today and didn't progress at all on DLs. It's probably a combination of poor nutrition, lack of working out and the fact that I'm not using creatine anymore. Anyway, I'll be back at the same gym tomorrow for push day.
