Squats felt stupidly heavy - even just the bar. Not much got done there. Kind of warmed up by the time I got to benching though, so that wasn't as bad. Didn't bother with any accessory lifts - just squat, bench, rows.

Maybe switch up the squats with some Goblet squats or box squats to get some extra recovery and see if that helps. Get some prs and get your head right.

You might be right, but it seems so far that it's only the odd day off, serious life stress, a couple of days of poor diet and sleep (and also of prolonged discomfort), and a minor injury doing light deadlifts (during a stressful time)... that have really done any harm.

Not so much frequent squatting, or any other lift - that I can tell.

I'll definitely keep it in mind though, as an option. Cheers.

Sucks about things feeling heavy, but we all live to lift another day. Did those fronties feel better?

Thanks guys. Yeah, the front squats felt a bit easier than those other squats did. 100kg x 5,5 is actually not too bad for me, at this stage.

Just trying to make some progress - any kind of progress - along the way, currently. I think the landmine presses might've been a PR, fwiw. And yeah, even that kind of PR counts for something.

I figure, getting stronger at a thing, anything at all... makes you stronger. Simple, but true anyway.
