Things on a great roll here Jim, delighted to see that.
That 500lbs pull is quaking in its boots, it know you are hunting it down!!!

Also, love the addition of cars to the log, win!

Stopping the squat / deadlift combos????

And I just STARTd the squat / deadlift combo...

well, mine is pretty scaled back compared to the 1 months worth of lifting you do in one session SSSJ!!

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

Thanks OR!! At the moment, I am thinking:

Tuesday (OHP Day)
Military Press
Chins
Incline Bench
face Pulls

Thursday ( Deadlift Day)
Deadlifts
Shrugs
Hammer Curls
Abs

Saturday (Bench Day)
Bench Press
Pull Ups
Dips
Rows
BB Curls

Sunday (Squat Day)
Squats
GHR's
Reverse Hypers
Hypers

So, squats only once per week, and squats and deads not together. Will see if knee issues improve or not. I'm just not sure if squatting 2X per week does me alot of good at my age.

Suggestions welcome!

Thanks Rich! Well, I'd drink beers but cannot have any! Only strongman activity was getting boat back on trailer!

Besides the fish oil, I take other supps for my joints. I am quite sure it is training related. I have to remember I am not 25 anymore, although I feel like it and medically speaking I am 25!

Perhaps you need a Hummer, but at the rate your are dropping lbs there will be no question you will fit!

Thanks Alan!! I just want to do everything I can to make the 500 almost a no brainer before I go for it, as missing it taking an unnecessary attempt and missing would be a real drag down.

Ya, going to experiment if it helps me knees, marvin. I still love doing them together of course, but have to trial and error my knee aches.

BENCH PRESS DAY

Decided to bench today, instead of Tuesday, to better space out my sessions this week. I got a bit carried away on the bench singles, and paid the price on my first working set, the supposed to be 15 repper. However, I think I really need to start using my slingshot more, in order to get used to having heavier weight above me (On some crew days will do board work instead). So, I am going to do 2 raw singles like the program calls for, and one, maybe 2 slingshot or board singles after-wards, and then my 2 working sets.

The 265 single was a bit dipsy doodle on the right side and somewhat of a grinder, which as a bit disappointing TBH. I don't think it should have been so tough based upon I have had lots of rest, the way my training has gone lately, and that the 247.5 felt relatively light and snappy. However, I'll take it with pride as I didn't give up on it and it still is good training.

Last week was light, BW assistance, so did weighted Pull Ups & Dips. Got big PR's on both as well as the Pendlay Rows! Super happy about all of that.

I am super late to the party. My apologies.

I have missed a lot. There is some super human training going on in here. Very strong work and really impressed with your DL PR the other day. Congrats Jimmy Tree Trunks!
500 will fall in no time!

I also like your new set up for your training. Hope it all works out for you!

No worries at all DZ!! Indeed, the 445X5 was tough and I hope to get 450X5 this week. Rep work at these weights really kicks my ass more than heavy singles, and I am confident the rep work will pay off when I go for the big one.

I want to get my sessions done sooner as well so that I can fit in some cardio for conditioning.
