How to Build a Big Bench Press: Basic Biomechanics
6'2", ~100kg (~220lbs). 40yo, training (with a few breaks) since my late 30s.
Squat 160kg (352.7lbs), Bench 112.5kg (248lbs), Deadlift 220kg (485lbs), Strict Press 75kg (165.3lbs)

From my understanding of physics he doesn't make much sense with the weight of the individual vs the resulting force upwards - but everything else makes perfect sense.

I'm good friends with Connor, and he's actively trying to learn about the physics behind the bench press, and specifically what the weight of the lifter is doing. Someone with a mechanical engineering degree let him know he wasn't 100% correct in that aspect, and he's been searching for the answer since.
