Default JOPP 10/20/life

After coming to the realization at 12 at night that i thought i was a lot smarter then I am, I decided to buy 10/20/life by Brian Carroll. I was so mad at myself that I read the entire book in one sitting and realized one of the many things I was doing wrong, training to heavy. I am exciting for training and I plan to step on a platform in 2015. I will probably compete in the usapl because I do not use PEDs or knee wraps or the RPS because they have a lot of meets near me.

Tomorrow is my first day and on paper it looks to easy but I need to learn that I have to build not test.

USAPL is a solid fed, but read the rule book. LOTS of rules that you don't necessarily see in other feds.

Good luck!

Thanks. I have been really into powerlifting the last year and have learned and trained with in the USAPL's rules. I have seen some lifts and had no idea why they were given red lights.

Week 1 day 1 of my off season training.

squats 5x5@245 @RPE 6 my dumb training before this has kind of destroyed me but these were all fast easy and with my best form that I will always improve on.
Touch and go sumo deadlifts 3x5@315 all of them moved really fast at lockout, probably because of the touch and go. I chose this assecory because I need stronger hips and glutes.
Leg Press 3x12@6 total plates. I hate leg press and that is why I chose it along with it will help my work on my quads.
Arched back good mornings 3x10@135 I am horrible at these and have never done them before. I have no idea where to place the bar, when to explode up or how much need bend to have.
Rolling planks 3x10 I have never done these before but I really liked them. I think I have week obliques so this will hlp.
McGrill curl up two sets of 10 seconds with each leg. These had me shaking.

If anyone has any advice or sees I am doing something wrong I will take any advice and am a student of the iron game.

week 1 day 2 bench day

I had prom 2 days ago and well lets just say the last 2 day were fun and unhealthy. I felt like shit going to the gym but fought through it. I am still figuring out the assistance work.

Bench at RPE 6 2x5x135 1x5x155 2x5x175 form felt horrible but I had good speed of the chest.
rows 3x6x225@RPE 8 I need stronger upper back.
DB incline 3x15x50lb Trying to gain muscle and improve work capacity.
seated overhead tricep extensions 4x12@55 building up the triceps.
ab wheel 3x10

I know I did a lot of things wrong but I will keep trying to get better.

Week 1 day 3 deadlift day

*pulling conventional, my opposite stance.

deadlift RPE 6 1x5@225 1x5x275 1x5x315 1x5x335 1x5x355 form felt good. I widened my convention stance and pulled the slack out with makes a big difference of the floor for me.
2 inch deficit deadlift 3x6x315@RPE 7 these were hard but moved fast.
barbell row 3x15x135 RPE 6 these were really easy but my grip starts to give up around rep 13.
Lat pulldowns 3x10x135 RPE 8
McGrill crunch 3x10 seconds each side.
Rolling planks 2x10 a pause was done on each side
