Default Hello there

I'm 35, 6'1", 275 lbs and I have been lifting for 17 months, primarily focused on powerlifting. I've only done 1 meet so far, but I have my 2nd planned for August.

Prior to last year, I hadn't touched a barbell in my life. I did, however, spend 10 months doing various BeachBody workouts (I know, I know......). I went from a 280 lb couch creature to a 217 lb energetic spazz. I liked the way I looked, but I was still pretty weak. I bought a power rack off craigslist and a 300 lb Cap oly set, and here we are.

My wife and I used P90X 4 years ago after we got married. We both let ourselves go before the wedding and neither of us was happy when we looked in the mirror. I got into great shape and developed freakish flexibility on that program.

Lifting is awesome, but any fitness is always better than fatness. Welcome to MAB!
