Still no training, but I did take a bit of a vacation with my folks to Biloxi, MS, for mother's day. Lots of good food and fun were had! We are headed back home by way of Ft. Walton and Destin, so a little sun and sand were had. Amazing what breathing in that salt air can do for the soul.

5/13/2014 BENCH

Working sets: 225x5x5
Incline bench: 185x4, 205x4, 225x4, 245x2, 225x2
Dips: BW (275 ISH)x4x10
Incline DB press: 45ea x4x10
Band Flyes: ~100
Band pushdowns: ~100

It felt really good to get back in today. Things just hadn't been feeling right or good for a while and I think I needed the break. Things will get back full swing soon. Tomorrow I'll get in for some squats.

5/19 BENCH

Bar x a few sets x a few reps (50-ish total)
95x2x8
135x2x8
185x8
225x5
275x3
315x3
Add Ram
365x1
Add Titan F6
Two board
385x4
405x4
425x4
450x4

http://450x4 2-Board; Titan F6: http...be/Bo9HO_abzyA

Really dug the Titan shirt. Had longer sleeves that were a tighter fit than the APT. I really liked the extra support. Everything was moving really easy today.

Floor presses
135x12
185x12
205x12
205+30 lbs chains x12

Incline DB press 4x12
EZ bar skull crushers 4x12

Band flyes x50
Band pushdowns x50

Got talked into doing the push/pull at the gym next Saturday. Maybe that'll get my motivation up. I should be the biggest lifter in the heavyweights, so I'll make back my entry fee then some. Glad to be getting back in the saddle this week

5/22/2014 Squats 10/20/Life week 2

485x2x3
Reverse Band 520x3

485 felt super heavy. Then again, I haven't squatted in a hot minute. That RB 520 was something I really needed going forward. It restored a bit of confidence. Squats may not have been pretty, but I did them.

Sumo Deadlifts: 315x3x3

I was pretty much shot by the time I got to these, but they felt good and I needed to remember how to pull for next Saturday.

Leg Press: 3PPS x 4x12

Called it a day after this as I was drenched in sweat and worn out and hungry. To stay on schedule and allow for a good competition next Saturday, I'll probably do the fluff&buff on Saturday and the scheduled deload next week.

I decided today that I'll more than likely do the meet on July 26. I need a goal to work towards. I've been kinda in a funk regarding lifting since the meet on March 1. I haven't found much motivation since then to squat or deadlift regularly. I think I'm finally coming out of it, though. Good news, though, is that I've been working bench a lot and feel like I can finally put up some respectable numbers!

If any of y'all have tips on how to push past this kind of thing, I'd be glad to hear your thoughts.

I've been on about a three week "No-Load!" Haha. I think I'm finally back in it, though. Thanks for all the kind words you always send my way!
