Default JByrd's 10/20/Life Version

Hi, Everyone.

I'm logging in effort to promote the success of Jbyrd and his abilities as a powerlifting coach. Currently I'm fairly weak but rather than thinking I can quickly change this under my own guidance I've hired Mr. Byrd. Hopefully lack of time won't interfere with my intentions.

Below are beginning stats:

Height - 5'11"
Weight - 195
Squat - 360 lbs (ohb)
Bench - 285
Deadlift - 385 (conventional)

Good luck everyone, I hope you all achieve your goals.

I'll never stop powerlifting, Philly.

------------------------------

Session for tomorrow, Mother's Day, May 11, 2014.

Bench:

5x5 - [ramping up to 2 sets RPE 8 (= 2 sets 80% maximum 5 reps)]
Inclined D/B Press - 3x8 (no less than 2 reps in the tank on every set - straight sets)
Dips - 3x8 (same)
Band Tri Pushdowns - (100 reps *total)
Mcgill Big 3

Warm up will always be something to get heated up without taxing the muscles.

Edit: First accessory after 5x5 = 3x5 RPE 7 Bench

It's literature from a man who's totalled 10x his body weight in several weight classes, you can't go wrong there. IMO it's also a good idea, for the money, to hire one of the greats, like Jonathan Byrd, to assess your needs. And lay out programming for you. I purchased 10/20/Life but am extremely happy that I spent the few extra bucks for Jbryd's guidance. I'm not sure how passionate you are, but I am sure you can agree that one on one informing from the best is priceless. Even after ready the book there will be things you're not sure of. Hire Jonathan Byrd.

Indeed, hiring JB a few months ago was a no brainer for me, and I will let my upcoming meet results next weekend speak for themselves. I am in a good position to break all the Canadian records in my class (100KG 50-54 years old)

I actually teamed up with JB to test his BIG program last year, but couldn't finish it due to developing an eye disease (Birdshot) and Facet Joint Arthritis. I felt like it was unfinsihed business.

It has been an honor to work with JB and I hope he will coach me indefinitely.

Thank you for the encouragement.

Squatter, well done on what you've overcome. I'm going to be 40 next year, reading that was very encouraging. It's not right how the body and mind deteriorates while life has to continue on.

Just finished my first session under Jonathan. Despite lack of sleep and a slow start it was one of the more productive days in a gym I've had in awhile. Every rep felt productive.
