The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

I agree, your lifts are moving very well. Truly am glad for you! It takes a ton of consistency in the gym and a lot of hard work to move that kind of weight.

Just a word of caution...there is a thin, thin line between getting stronger and getting injured. Go the extra mile to stay healthy. Keep well hydrated, have somebody massage the knots out after you train, and give your body time to heal and repair itself between training days.

Haha you are right though. There are times where I just want to keep pushing and for lack of a better explanation they tell me its not a good idea. I do a lot of warm up and prehab stuff now that I never did before.

Most of the greats don't quit because they get tired of the sport. They quit because the injuries mount up to the point that their body just won't take the beating anymore.

Damn Bev! Way to make me worry!!!! Honestly the way we train we only push it hard for a few weeks of a training cycle. I really thought I knew lifting, and honestly I learned more in the last year than over the previous several. Its nice to pick the brains for guys who have been at a world class level for so long. Top that off with the fact that they have coached guys to similar numbers, its not a fluke.

You wouldnt happen to be judging the apf single ply nationals are you?
