I gained 10 lbs of muscle in a year, so I think 16 lbs in 6 months for a guy seems reasonable. I realise people will say, he could have done better but we don't know what his overall goals were, maybe he competes in a sport where his body size is ideal or maybe he just does not want to be any bigger etc.

He may have covered that in the vid, however, since I always have them on mute, I wouldn't know.

It's not what we think of his transformation, it's what he thinks of his progress that's important and if that's the sort of gains/transformation you want then follow your goal.

Yeah I did think to myself after, that he didn't actually say "bodybuilding transformation" or "muscle"

Then again, the focus of the video clearly was to show off "muscle". He wasn't trying to lose fat or anything like that.

Like you said though we don't know his exact goals. He could've needed to be a certain weight for a sport or something.

Jeez, what do you guys want? Blood?

If we're to believe his weight and measurements, he's made a huge difference in six months. 3" on calves and 5" on his thighs? Put a tape round a thigh and then let it out by 5" - and see what a massive jump in size that is.

Even if he was exaggerating by 100%, I'd say a 2.5" increase would be impressive.

I think he did really well.

Good point. I was relying on visuals (and that's what it seemed he was primarily focussing on, too). But I didn't watch it all, and had it muted as well, so...

Yeah, those increases aren't too terrible at all.

Visuals don't always tell you much, it would seem.

We should be able to see the results at the end then, right?

If no one can see that he looks much different, then maybe he's just exaggerating it.

I've gained 3 inches on my thighs now in 2 months, and I can see a big difference.

When I see these quick transformations from beginners and they claim to put on x amount of weight I can't help but wonder how much of that is muscle and how much is possibly water weight from an increased carbohydrate intake.

I think he's made a great start. He was underweight to begin with and has put on what looks like quality mass. At 6'1 he has a lot of room for more quality mass. Would love to see his 6 year transformation. We should get him to the forum.
