Certainly box jumps do test for hip mobility etc. However its still a good test of RFD and a form of general athleticism I guess. Plus jumping is fun, same as running fast or lifting heavy shit. Although off course I prefer the latter like we all do

Max jumps should really be avoided more often than not. You can get the training effect you want without loosing teeth or shins Plus not sure how trainable a lift they are. Reckon pretty quick you'll gain all your going to? I don't have to much experience implementing them though,

First time I tried box jumps (on a lowish step, only thing I had) with KBs, I felt like someone had glued me to the floor...it was interesting, to say the least.
