If you're really concerned about the deadlift, you can do it on a different day to your heavy squats but it seems as if you heavy squat almost each session (which is awesome btw). As the more experienced guys on here will tell you, when your squat is motoring along, your deadlift will ultimately get stronger too.

If you are concerned, perhaps prioritising it one day a week is an option but this is totally up to you. Maybe you don't want to mess up your squat, it's a balancing act to be sure
Thanks for the advice. I think I'll do it at the beginning of the week as I'll be fresher. I'm not competing at the moment so I'm not that concerned. Are there any meets to compete in near Leicester? There are a lot of decent gyms in Leicestershire in general. My mate from school trains at the Warehouse gym which looks insane. Is Hotbody's owned by Darren Ball? There are some good gyms in Loughborough.

No, it is run by a fella called Richard Bentley. A bunch of guys from there have won bodybuilding titles in regional competition. Definitely not a powerlifting gym but most of the older heads are friendly enough and the power rack is often free so it suits!
I've heard of Daz Ball's gym in Leicester but never been in it.

Thanks, matey. You're pretty strong yourself. I didn't quite hit all twelve as I got 10 reps on the last set

I might check Hotbody's out when I fix my car. Right now I'm attempting to set up a home gym (in my bedroom lol in the garage)

Squat PR. I seem to be going too low and my chest isn't as upright as it should be but nonetheless it does not look particularly bad. Final working set so I was tired by the end.

Moderate Bench

Squat 3x5 (107.5 kg PR) Hit failure so will try again 1x20 62.5 kg couldn't resist
CGP 5x5 85 kg (Big jump but felt good about it. 5x5
OHP 5x5 55kg (I haven't done this very often but my strength has gone down a lot on this movement. 5x5
Dumbell Row 4x10 (PR)
Curl 18.5 kg 3x10
Tricep extension lying 5x10 22kg dumbells
Seated calf raise 5x12 same weight as last time but added a set.
Incline Dumbell Press 5x10 35kg

Increased calories to 4000. No fat gain so far. This program is very high volume so I have an excuse to eat a ton. Avoiding KFC so far and i've dropped cardio.

Friday
Squat 5x5 105 kg was a bit hammered so held it back a bit and really worked on the form.
OHP 5x5 57.5 kg
Barbell row 5x5 90kg (PR)
Tricep extension 3x8 24kg
Curl 18.5 kg 3x8
Weighted chins with 10kg 5x10
Seated calf raise 10x10 20kg

Linear progression going very well. I've been moving around a fair bit and consequently I have found that Olympic bars feel very different weight-wise in different gyms.

Heavy Bench day 75% 1 rm 90kg 5x5. The party is in full swing.
107.5kg squat (PR) 5x5 3x10 90kg
5x10 65% 1rm 80kg flat bench (dumbbells too light)
Deadlift 135kg PR. 5x5 ( 3 max effort sets)
Chins to failure
OHP 60kg 5x5
Lying tricep extension 24kg dumbbells 4x10
Curls 18.5kg ( seem to be stuck with this weight) 3x8

Good workout. Got past a plateau on deads after taking 10% of the weight off. It was 30 degrees Celsius which was a new experience. 4000 calories a day diet working well at the moment but I may up the food intake. I think I respond decently to high volume training but I suppose it's only the beginning. One of my goals is to improve my workload tolerance.
