It sounds like some muscular imbalance to me, though not seeing your posture or watching you squat, walk and move, I can only guess. I would continue to foam roll and would would work on some hip, glute, hamstrings. If you do not get things worked out, you will find that you keep re-injuring yourself every time you return to squatting. Do post up a form video, as that more than likely is contributing to the problem.
