I do not use prayer a lot. I have before but I rarely do it. Not sure why, I just think that there are other ways that calm me better. And I can get direction from asking others, such as family.

Meditation of any sort is good, no matter what your beliefs. You don't have to be religious to meditate, nor are you excluded from meditation by being religious.

Yes Meditation is quite good. I have meditated before and there are many great benefits to it. I do pray though as well as this is essential in my life.

Have not really used prayer lately. I am not super religious and know that you do not have to be to pray, but I just feel funny about it for some reason.

Prayer is simply communication with God, and communication is essential in any relationship. Being a Christ follower, I dont feel very close in my relationship if I 'm not praying daily. The more I pray, the closer i feel to the Lord, and that, in my opinion, is a good thing

That's true. My workout partner and I spoke as much about praying today as we did weightlifting. The two are a good combination - good weights and good prayer. Have a blessed day.

I feel that prayer centers me. I do use it daily. It is soothing to me and calming and helps me decide what to do.

I used to workout in a gym with a world-class powerlifter. When he would lift heavy, I always prayed for him. I also have prayed when I lift heavy, just for humility and protection.

Obviously, prayer can be used in more situations than in the gym. It is the most powerful "tool" that God has given to humankind.
