I am no expert at this at all, but I spent about 3 months learning clean and jerk and snatch, then I went back to deadlifts and back squats.
One thing I noticed was the Oly lifting helped with pulling power from the floor during deadlift and power out the hole during a squat. Though this could of been me getting stronger or me getting better at pulling stuff.
