My wife apparently believes, because she came home with a tub of it a few months ago. Some dude at the gym told her she could use it to cut weight. She doesn't look like Jay yet though.

This article has been around for a while, and has attracted some interesting discussion. Kinda.
Why You MUST Do Lower Body Workouts
A comment from this source:
"Thank you “Iron Hercules”. Your mission, should you decide to accept it, is to re-enact something similar to The Labours of Hercules, where one of his like “Tarzan’s Three Challenges”, was to visit the Amazonian Tribe of Strong Women Warriors and bring back the Queen’s Golden Girdle, or belt. Sort of like Jason and the Argonauts. In this case maybe a patch of fabric like from one of Tina’s many work-outs like having done so many reps and sets that day in the gym that after her resting for a day or two, her measurements recording a growth in muscle..."

- a whole lot more bullshit here, but followed by this:

"As Tina originally concentrated on her legs to recuperate from an accident that provided the testosterone in building her massive muscles in the upper body too. – - “After an intense session your growth hormone levels will go up as will testosterone. Couple that with a good post-workout meal to get insulin levels up and you are in a prime condition to put on muscle mass. And don’t think that this will only help you put on muscle mass in your legs. In fact, simple doing leg workouts will help your upper body to grow as well. The testosterone and growth hormone will not just be moving in your lower body therefore it will circulate up in your arms and chest and help those muscles grow as well…For the women out there who are scared to perform leg weights because they feel it will make them ‘bulky’, don’t be. You don’t have the testosterone in your body to develop any significant amount of muscle mass UNLESS YOU ARE VERY GENETICALLY BLESSED or are taking some form of drugs (steroids).” (emphasis ADDed for Tina, right?) Why You MUST Do Lower Body Workouts So getting over to the question of: WHO are so blessed? ___% of the population? And may I please sponsor #___ of those confirmed as such?"

This source is e-published, and can, of course, be googled.

This is also a sterling example of the kind of whacko, pseudo-intellectual nonsense that is circulating, and not just concerning training of course; ANY subject you can find this kind of thing!! A nugget - an episteme, if you will - buried in, and tied to, a LOAD OF BULLSHIT.

If you can be bothered reading the whole tract, there are still some lols to be had.
But not if you take everything as seriously as i do.

Well you can't make "too much" fun of him because you don't make f*** all as a pro unless you have that supplement contract, and people have been dropped because they admitted to their steroid use. Everyone with half a brain knows what's really going on anyway.
