I would normally take 200-250mg of caffeine 2x/week on days I would squat and deadlift since they were the hardest days. I did not want to build a tolerance and even at that dose sleep was usually...

I think i'll lower it, started at 70% of deadlift.

200-250mg of caffeine anhydrous...

Agreed. SLDL/Deficits/Pendleys probably work better at separate times, at least until the lifter is conditioned to perform them each with decent volume allocated to each.
