Maybe this goes without saying, but limit yourself to movements that don't hurt. I've healed several shoulder injuries without my upper body wasting away by focusing all of my attention on pain free...

It depends where you are going. I'm on the west coast and can't drive 5 miles without seeing a 24 hour fitness or LA fitness. The facilities tend to be big with a lot of machines, but dont accomodate...
