Intermediates and lower need to be programmed and pushed to get better. They need to be told what to do and shouldn’t be given much latitude in regards to any changes to the programming. They need to follow it to a “T” and not deviate unless it’s absolutely necessary. There are also times when they need their heads pulled out of their asses and pushed because in most cases, they have more in them than they realize and they need to have it pulled and pushed out of them...

"Beginners know best". - that's something I've learned when trying to help 90% of novice lifters. No matter what you tell them and no matter what the source, unless you provide a picture of some big ripped bodybuilder and tell them what they want to hear and say "this is the routine that made him big", they aren't going to listen to you. That's why I write articles now. Whoever wants to read and learn will do so, and the bro bodybuilders can keep doing their curls and asking questions they don't want real answers to.
