The first number is a little high for me, but I definitely have experience with the second two. I always find it funny that when I feel kind of 'Blah', I'll have an excellent workout. I have come to believe it's because it creates a mood of calm focus, which I find to work better than getting "hyped-up" for a workout.

Which brings up another point...

I always hated super heros that needed a special ammulet or had to ingest a secret formula to realize their special powers. They were worthless when caught without their secret stuff. Think about that the next time you take that pre-workout formula.

Thanks! Good advice. I figured it would be something I have to figure out for myself, but now I have some specific things to look for. I think what's making it difficult right now is the routine I'm doing. It's pretty much going heavy all the time. After doing a 5x5 for a while where one day a week was always fairly light (HLM), this is just a whole other animal. There's no "easy" days.

I'll figure it out though. Thanks!

A smart man once told me that I can only get marginally stronger in a week, but I can get significantly weaker by not taking one off. If you think you need time off, take it, relight the fire and spirit, then come back and crush weights.
