I understand the effect of lowering the weight really fast with a loose effort. It takes advantage for the stretch. This covers Newton's Third Law.."For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction,"

Since you lower the bar really fast, the muscle has to contract just as fast. I just there there is a much safer way. I don't know. I guess i have to try it out myself, but i don't really want to..haha

To me fast is faster than snail slow. I guess it's relative for me, meaning that improvements will help.

For the last couple of years my bench eccentrics have been pathetic, but I lived with constant strains and pains. When I can train free of these, my eccentrics pick up.
