Default Unequipped Powerlifting Divisions

Is it standard practice for unequipped competitors to be allowed wrist wraps and not knee wraps?

Filling out my entry for an ADFPF meet last night and for some reason I expected it to be the other way around.

In the UK yes. All of the fed's I have looked into have RAW as belt and wrist wraps only. Some of the US fed's allow knee sleeves but not wraps, some allow full wraps. As ever there is very little consistency

I believe the fed' you're competing in is affiliated to the BDFPA which I compete in which is uber strict on everything from no knee wraps to DEEEEEEP squats to LOOOOOOOOONG bench pauses.

I have been squatting with ACE wraps. They provide some support but I suppose it's mostly mental. I better squat without these next 3 weeks to get my head on straight.

Self wrapped knees are never that tight so they won't be giving you much. Like you say it's more of a mental thing. Have you benched flat footed yet?

I'm shorter than you and have found it easier benching without blocks. What I do is to flex my feet, get my arch and get set then right before I unrack, I slide my feet forward so that they're flat. I didn't get on benching off blocks at all.

Not sure why they built it that way. It's a solid unit otherwise.

In any case, my bench form is my weakest. I am strong off the chest with little drive as it is, so hopefully I will be ok.
