I know I am working towards Ohio next year, but secretly I have become obsessed about hitting an 1800 raw 3-lift total. I'm not sure why, but that total is like a magic number to me. With each day I care less and less about anything remotely muscle building in nature.

I literally fall asleep every night thinking about my training. It's to the point where I think about deadlifting during sex. I've had plenty of sex, but never had a 700 pound deadlift or 600 pound squat. (all respect to my wife)

My goal is to add at least 25 pounds to each lift, each year. By my 47th birthday, if I can still lift, I will be close to my 1800 raw goal.

I just have no urge to be pretty right now, or to have 6 pack abs. I don't know if I have the energy or stamina to chase that goal right now. I will keep on that path, but man, I just want to squat.

25 lbs a year is most definitely doable. that's gaining .5 lbs per week. go for it BTB you got it

I think I can get there sooner or later. The 600 squat is my primary obsession. I was reading about Paul Anderson squatting with 700 pounds for 5 reps, and I feel like a bozo.

keep at it man... that's gonna be badass (yes, it's going to happen). i definitely think it's doable for you.

i would like to mention- dont give up on doing that show... it seems you've been talking about some day doing a BB show since i came here to MAB. you've come a long way dropping weight, dont lose sight of that goal because something else comes up and distracts you... you wouldnt want to start focusing on strength and then realize you want to do a show...

... just think after cutting that long how bad you'll want to eat like crazy and get your strength up!

you got nothing but time big man ... but seriously, it seems you will have quite a lot more years on the + side of lifting (not trying to say your old, just that some day things will go down hill)
