Default 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation July 2010 Update

100% RAW Powerlifting Federation July 2010 Update

Dear Lifters,
Things are really heating up for the federation in the beginning of summer. We just had the American Challenge which was hosted in 8 different locations with over 350 lifters. With the economy of our country and times being so tough we felt this would be a great fit to meet the lifters half way. It turned out to be the greatest 1 day event we have ever held. All the results are posted online at RawNavigation .

Congratulation to the team winners: 1st place teams were High School Division - Currituck, NC, Master Division - Team Vermont, Mixed Team - Team Vermont. Team Vermont had entered two teams and won 1st place with both teams. The drug tests results have come in and I am proud to say that there was only 1 test of the 40 lifters who were tested that did not pass.

The lifters who won the open divisions can e-mail me with the size of the Team USA jacket they want. I will preparing the American Challenge National Champion custom plaques next week and ship them out with the jackets at the same time. Any lifter who won a 1st place in their respective weight class and age group can order 1 of these custom plaques as well. The price of the plaque is $65 plus $15 for shipping. If you order it in the month of July it will sell for $55 a $10 savings plus the $15 for shipping.

Breaking News:
100% RAW Powerlifting with the help Mr. Roy Apseloff has done the impossible. This years 2010 AAU JR Olympics will be a DUAL SANCTIONED event with AAU & 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation. What does this mean? Any lifter who lifts in this meet must be an AAU member, although any member who is a 100% RAW member will be able to break 100% RAW State, National & World records at this event. So any teenage or youth lifter who joins 100% RAW before this date or is a current member is eligible to break any of the 100% RAW records. All athletes who compete in this event will need to be a member before the day of the competition. This is a well run event each year with excellent officiating and will be a wonderful experience for all lifters. I wanted to thank Mr. Roy Apseloff and the AAU officials who had made this possible (Bill Deporter, Ivy Schuler, Judy Wood and Martin Drake). This may lead to bigger and better things down the road for all of powerlifting. Click below for an entry form for the 2010 AAU Jr. Olympics. e-mail for more information.

International News:
Our website has been going a change over and over the next month you will see many changes. The National record page will include many countries so lifters can click on the country they wish to see for their National records. 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation has held 5 competitions overseas this year and has more on the table by the end of the year. We will have about 15 meets outside of the USA by the end of 2010 in countries like, Ukraine, Serbia, India, Armenia, Turkey, Iran, Canada, Brazil and Nigeria. Thank you to Mr. Arian Salarian for his hard work and dedication to 100% RAW Powerlifting Federation in helping set up many of the Asian countries to begin running events. We will be updating the website with each leader from all of our country affiliates.

The next big International competition will be held on July 31 & August 1 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Mr. Adam Price has been working extremely hard on this event. This will be the 1st time a Sanction III event has been run outside the USA. This became possible because 100% RAW President Paul Bossi and International Relations Chairman Hunter Claypatch will be in attendance to help assist and oversee that proper 100% RAW protocol will be followed. Any lifters from any countries are welcome to come to compete in this event. I would like to see lifters from the Northern plain states of the USA cross the border and compete in the event. I look forward in seeing many of you lifters in this event and support Mr. Adam Price's hard work.

All National and World records have been updated and posted. Many state records have been updated and we update them as fast as the state chairmen send them to us. If you records for your state are not updated please e-mail for state chairman and ask him for the update on them. If you have a state with no state chairman then send an e-mail to either or

The rankings will be updated soon and the 2010 regular list will be up very soon as Mr. Brian Stoner who updates them had sent me an e-mail saying he is working on the American Challenge and then they will be posted. Mr. Peter Hubbard now does the Master rankings and he is working on the update as well since the American Challenge meet was so large it is taking a little more time than expected.

Awards for records and other accomplishments:
