Deadlift Bar Height

Anyone know the standard bar height for competition deadlifts? Last week when I deadlifting at the YMCA in Minneapolis the bar was higher. I think I have been deficit deadlifting for 3 years :)

It does make me feel happy. Yesterday I bought some more Weider plates and those suckers were even smaller then my old Weiders.

I believe it's 45 centimeters. I am going to go check my weight.

Sure enough, my weights are 39 centimeters. So my deadlift PR is actually a deficit deadlift PR.

Ivanko Barbell Company

The 25 kg Ivanko calibrated IPF plates have a diameter of 17 3/4 inches or 45.1 cm.

I'm itching to deadlift this week with the extra 1.25 inches. I know it doesn't sound like much but it excites me like a little kid on Christmas....

No dude, I totally understand. It's like:

"Aw **** yeah I can't wait to see how explosive I am off the floor after doing deficit deadlifts for 3 years"
