Default Tried some partial CGBPs

Tried some partial CGBPs today and they really felt awkward on my front delts. I didn't like the feel of the first liftoff because it was hard to nail down my groove.

Any of you partial squatters have this sensation/issue with squat groove and unusual tweaks?

i wouldn't know i only partially squat over the dirty gas station toilets!

Thanks. Glad to know I wasn't alone. Every time I get excited to try something beyond linear progression I find that I walk the "strain" line.

I recommend that instead of partials you strap a foam roller to your chest and press off of that. Since I do close-grips after my regular bench press, I'm all about the foam press now since I can use more weight and do more reps than the full-range movement. That and it absolutely destroys my triceps.
