Never. Only 10 minutes before i step out to pitch because the weight makes the first few innings seem so easy because the baseball will feel light as a feather and the arm will be loose enough to handle the extra innings. Warming up is also a big factor.

I herniated two discs throwing a softball and needed surgery...when I was 25 years old!!

I'll say this, there were three main reasons:

1. I didn't train for power, only slow strength.

2. I didn't do any unilateral or staggered stance work, and,

3. I under-trained my back, low back and hamstrings (compared to my front musculature).
