Default My Week of Steady PR's

Love this thread people...very motivating.

Last week I was coming off of a bad chest/head cold and was not up to doing my normal squat progression - I have been trying to get more hypertrophy work in, while still lifting heavy (my last squat session was something like 275lbs x 8,10,10). I knew I didn't have the lungs for it, so I decided to go for a max instead - I hit 350lbs for 1 rep (new squat PR).

This morning I was itching to lift - still coming off flu like symptoms over the last 3-4 days. It was DL day and hit 350lbs x 3, 385 x 3, and 405 x 2 (reset betweeen the 405x2 ~ 10 sec) - new DL PR.

Lastly, the PR I'm most proud of is not having any chewing tabacco for the last 9 days. I hope/pray this is it for this vice!!

Thanks BTB. Will do - A goal of mine (from about a year and half ago) was to be able to rep (3 x 8-10 reps) 2 plates for bench, 3 plates for squat, and 4 plates for dl's (reps for dl's would be like 3-5 x 3 reps).

Almost there with bench and squats...dl's will follow. It might take a little longer since I'm also trying to up my overall conditioning.

Had a meet Saturday. Hit a 10kg PB Squat (230kg), 7.5kg PB bench with PLENTY in the tank (130kg) and a 2.5kg PB deadlift (240kg)

Yesterday (Monday) I think I hit a volume PB on squats, 5x5 with 170kg.

Made a 350lbs Bench today, raw. First Bench PR in probably around 3 years.

It was an easy-ish rep, I think on a good day some time this year 400lbs will go.
