Default creatine... again, I know

So can someone post me a link about creatine uses? I know it'll help out with stamina, thus leading to higher lifts. I also hear that it causes weight gain. I'd love some more information.

It doesn't cause weight loss.

If anything, it'll probably aid fat loss considering the fact that it promotes lean muscle mass which ultimately elevates your metabolism.

There are also hydration properties of creatine, that will have a carryover in regards to fat loss of some extent.

You're new to training right?

Here's your challenge. Run your programme for 6 months without changing anything. Don't read another article, don't buy a single supplement. Gain a pound a week by eating food and keep adding weight in the gym. Update your log every time you go to the gym and don't post any new threads. Wrote down any questions you have in your own log book and if at the end of 6 months they're still bugging you, start a thread.

For the most part, 6 months of consistent eating and lifting will answer all your questions. And you will be on the first rung of your training journey.

Imagine an Arnie voice: "Shut up and lift"

The only exception is form advice, please feel free to start a thread with videos of you squatting, benching and deadlifting. This is an area you will need help with.

Creatine is arguably, the most researched supplement on the web ..... a quick google search will give you more info than you could ever take in.

Short answer: Lift, Eat, Sleep, Repeat ...... Creatine does help most folks... give it a go. 5 to 10 grams ( 10 if you weigh over 200 lbs - 5 to 7.5 if you weigh less) pre or post work out no need to load...... if you notice any issues - just stop Don't overthink training...... lift hard, eat well, rest a lot. If you insist on supps get a quality whey protein, a multi vitamin, and the Creatine. Come back in 6 months and tell us what happened .... bet you will be surprised ! Good luck and Happy Lifting.
