I want to get your guys opinions on this:

Do you think it would it be ok to do other reps schemes while on chaos and pain, other than 10x3, 12x2, or 15x1, or would those be the best??

I have fallen in love with triples while doing chaos and pain, I do not really like doubles much, and singles are good but take a long time. Really the only other rep scheme I was thinking was a 6x5 or maybe 5x6??? I guess I will just throw this scheme it every once in a while and see what happens. C&P seems to stress the whole 15-30 rep thing though, so I will strive to stay within that on heavy days.

4x6? 6x4?

As I understand it, if you're within the 15-30 rep range and leaning on the heavy side, you're on track. There's nothing wrong with undulating (or waving) the weights. You could have heavy (1-2 reps), medium (3-4 reps) and "light" days (5-7 reps), but I would think anything more than 7 reps per set would be getting away from the point.

I'm sure the other guys will have better input....

I was mostly thinking of these for presses/pulls, I do not think I would do them for squats ever. I will throw them in every once in a while.

i like fairly high squats.... 3-5 reps, 1-3 deads, 1-6 bench (but as of late lower), other pulls 3-6 and with OH presses 3-6

these are my favorite rep ranges. i know everyones different and at your strength level its definately different, but just randomly throwing it out there.

i think it'd be good for the presses and pulls. im doing the same thing.

Good stuff there, after reading chaos and pain's blog, he seems to favor the lower rep ranges. 1s or 3s, but this is my version of chaos and pain so I guess I can do whatever I want.

in the video on this ChAoS & PAIN: Form Isn't Everything... he deadlifts for 8 reps (515 lbs by the way).

here he does BTNs for 8 ChAoS & PAIN: Search results for BTN (this vids painful to watch)

point is, even Mr. C&P, himself mixes it up occasionally.

EDIT: but, yes of course, lower reps are the bread and butter of c&p (if thats the right usage of that)

I think that is the correct wording, and I have seen these videos which is kinda why I thought about doing different rep schemes.

Thanks for the information.

its all about change Jwood. you do what your body tells you to, then some more. If 1-3's aren't working right now, change it up, then go back
