Default Cutting workout

I am wanting to drop some weight while still mostly working on squat, deadlift, bench, ohp, and rows. I know the biggest component is eating less and I am taking care of that. Currently my rep range never exceeds 5 on the big lifts. Would increasing to 8-10 be effective in dropping body fat or do I have to work in more of the C-word?

Increased reps can help. What I found helpful was shortened rest periods, supersetting with no rest my accessory work and making sure diet was spot on. If you are not spot on with diet, you are just hurting yourself.

Don't eliminate all your heavy work though. You want to give your body a reason to keep it's muscle while cutting. You'll probably have to cut the volume of your heavy work (since recovery is harder on a caloric deficit), but when cutting the main goal of your lifting should be to keep as much muscle and strength has possible, while using diet to force your body to use stored fat with a lowered intake.

Still lift heavy as heck, it doesn't make a difference if you cut smartly! You want to maintain strength if not get stronger, so stick to heavy ass lifts with accessories IMO. If you want to lose some fat without doing cardio, take a walk. it'll help mentally and physically.

Keep your protein high and use carbs mainly on training days. Moderate fats.

Training doesn't have to Change much. If anything add in some prowler work or sprinting on off days.

You know, it's funny...people have been talking about walking as a good addition to your training for so many years. Just in the last little while all of a sudden LISS has become all the rage for fat loss. Once again, science catches up with what the people in the trenches have known for years.
