Default 5 weeks out plan

Alright guys, I am coming to theme of a 9 week training cycle and my body is worn down. I pushed through because I am going to Hawaii on Friday for 10 days. This will be a serious deload for me.

When I get back I will be 5 weeks out of my strongman competition. My training cycles are broken into 3 week mini cycles so I am trying to plan for when I get back. I run a mic of the cube and juggernaut with one events day.

What would you guys do?

I was kinda thinking of when I get back taking one week to get back into things and kinda feel everything out. Then running one 3 week mini cycle and taking one serious deload before the comp.

I do not like to take too much time off before a comp, I would likely train light Monday and Tuesday before comp then just focus on recovering.

As far as events I am not really sure yet. I will have 4 sessions, 2 at my strongman gym, two at home. I figure 3 of these sessions will be heavy and then a light events day 7 days out from comp.

Thanks for he help guys!

I personally would do one hold week to get back at it, then a 3 week peak.

I like BtB's suggestion here. Taking a week to get back into it, then, if it were me, I wouldn't even run cube stuff. I would just ramp events and peak. Three weeks of events training and some assistance at home on the off days seems like it might be more helpful than trying to incrementally get stronger overall.

Thanks brute, you are probably right. The only reason I was gonna stick to cube stuff was because that is what I have been running cube for a while. Thought it may keep things semi normal with added recovery.

I will have 4 events days when I get back definitely plan to ramp up
