Default Liquid Chalk

So, recently I invested in some liquid chalk from EliteFTS called "Xtreme Formulation" just because when I'm not supposed to use chalk at either gym I train in.

Well, today I used it for the first time and was incredibly let down by it. I hit an easy triple at 425 and with "Stricken" by Disturbed blaring in my headphones, I was motivated and knew I had the strength to pull a 4th rep. Low and behold, my grip gave out midway up my shin. My grip isn't anything special, but I've never failed a rep because of grip when I've used regular chalk; I've held 500 in my hands several times.

Is my liquid chalk a dud? Any tip/general comments on taking full advantage of it?

I'm not sure how it compares to regular chalk but did you apply plenty? a light coating of the stuff comes off pretty quickly.

Yeah I applied the 6-7 squirts the bottle suggested for my first set, which was 425x2 and then another 2 squirts for my next set-the 425x3.

I've only heard positive reviews and I've heard people say that it'll stay on for a long time.

I've used it and wasn't overly impressed, but didn't hate it. Didn't drop anything like you, but regular chalk is much better.

I guess I'll only use it when I get yelled at for using real chalk

Still use real chalk, and clean it up as best as possible each time. If it's still a problem, finding a new gym would be good if that is an option.

'm a fan of regular chalk, but you only need the liquid chalk for one rep in competition!

Like jdalm said...is more like a one time use. Need to re-apply every single time. Try stickum...may be better!!!
