Default deadlift grip preference

as deadlift weight increase would you recommend keeping the palms towards you grip, or go with an alternate grip as i have seen many lifters do. Let's hear some opinions on this one

alternate for poundage.

I recommend warming up with a curl grip or regular grip, but when it comes work-set time, alternate those suckers and get after it.

Alternating all the way. I can easily hold 600+ with alternating, but with 315 and palms facing me, the bar wants to roll.

thanks, as the weights been getting higher and higher i've been worrying about my grip failing then remembered about the alternate grip, i'm gonna try this way when i deadlift 205 tomorrow.. first time over 200

im only confortable one way, so i only use that grip.

I'm using matched grip right now. When I start getting up to serious weights I'll use a traditional mixed grip.

I never switch alternative grips. I simply don't like to think when doing heavy deadlifts. I used to try switching when doing rack pulls, but only one way feels natural. When I'm tugging heavy weight, I want the movement to feel natural. That's why I don't switch. If you can, by all means do.
