Mark Bell Reebok CrossFit Powerlifting Shoe

This is the new Reebok CrossFit Powerlifting shoe. Mark Bell helped with the design.

Do you feel the inclusion of the word Crossfit on the tongue and side of the shoe was a good move for Reebok?

Yes, i think its a good move, but it has also insured that i won't ever buy a pair. They're already elbow deep into crossfit though, so I think its a good business call.

I am not one to spew hateful comments about crossfit all day, but to be honest it's not something I would want to be associated with. I think it'll sell much better without ''crossfit'' on it.

they ripped off high-top Chucks. the name is irrelevant.

Marketing point of view, good call to have crossfit on it. It also makes sure that I will not own a pair haha

I can't find any info on these at all. Are they flat soled? looks like a rebranded chuck to me, which is a little lame.

I am not an anti-CrossFit guy, but with that said I still don't get it. If I were buying a powerlifting shoe I wouldn't want "MLB baseball" on it either. CrossFit is a registered trademark, so it's not like Reebok just randomly named a shoe brand "Crossfit".

I guess if it's a great shoe it won't matter much.

From my understanding mark had the outsides reinforced to keep from blow outs and things like that

It doesn't make sense to us because we ARE powerlifters, but it's a good marketing call. If they released these as a pure powerlifting shoe then crossfitters wouldn't touch them. The number of trend chasing, brand loving crossfitters that WILL buy these far outweighs the number of powerlifters who won't buy them because they say crossfit. Then again, they have credibility in our world because of including Mark Bell. It makes sense financially.

I'll stick to my $50 chucks, thanks.

I'm not a powerlifter, but I still wouldn't buy a pair of shoes that said Crossfit on them. Not that I dislike Crossfit, it's just that I don't do Crossfit or associate myself with it.
