Looks like a typical Russian powerlifting hightop to me. As long as it has a decent heel and wears well, like normal Reeboks do I could give a care less about the Crossfit branding. No pretension here

The iron is there during my times of happiness, sadness and anger. The iron is there available through the 4 seasons and inclement weather. The iron is there to either comfort me or motivate me. The Iron manages to show me how strong I am or how humble I need to be. The iron does not yell, but it always demands respect. The iron is not a disciplinarian, but when disrespected, I feel it for a long time. The iron does not love or hate, but we definitely share a strong bond. And no matter how far I stay away or for how long, the iron is there, waiting to be lifted.

I just bought Chucks, so I'm good for a while. But if I were to buy these, I'ld just black marker out the crossfit parts. Altho, I expect them to be overpriced (80$+), so probably wouldn't buy them.

I would not buy a pair of over priced chuck rip offs. I own a cheap pair of chuck rip offs thst cost £10 and are great. My cheap chuck rip offs will be just as good as xfit super bell chuck rip offs.

No problem with crossfit as train once a week at my local crossfit gym and have their shirt

If I thought they were a good shoe I would base my decision mostly on price. But, luckily I just bought a pair of shoes so I don't have to worry about the "crossfit" label.

Price will be my main issue. I don't really care about the crossfit branding personally, in fact I quite like their Olympic weightlifting style shoe. But every shoe they have for crossfit is comparable to other shoes but twice the price. Hell, crossfitters will pay it, so more power to Reebok for getting the best of them.

I'll stick to chucks for now.

Chucks don't seem to fit me correctly. If I get the correct length, then they are way too tight across the instep. I was thinking of trying out some of those high top skater shoes that are getting popular with the return of the 80's style. They seem to be better built than Chucks with more support. Also have a flat sole and can be had pretty cheaply. Any opinions?

Like this Tony Hawk shoe can be had for $35.00 to $45.00.

The whole Chucks rip-off thing confuses me, they all just look like heavy based plimsolls, to me, and they all pretty much look alike, plus there are only so many designs for footwear.
