Default Chaos and Pain

Recently started reading this blog and I will have to say that it is one of the most interesting and entertaining things I have ever seen. His workouts involve using 85-95% on all of your big lifts which is a bit out there but sound as far as I can tell. He appears to be knowledgable even though it is masked by excess ego and sarcasm. Does anyone else follow his program, diet, or even just the blog? If so please give me you impression

ChAoS & PAIN (disclamer: this site contain naked women, excess profanity, and VERY violent images)

Yes, the Chaos and Pain blog is very interesting indeed. I remember the Chaos and Pain style being discussed on these boards too. Here's some of the threads (including a workout log) that might interest you -

I ran his original method and intermediate deadlift specialist routines with success last summer. Helped me pull 500+ at 165 but the only way I recovered was with copious amounts of food, rest and caffeine and only working a 9-5 instead as opposed to working and taking classes

The main lesson I took from him: train heavy and often and don't be afraid to try unorthodox lifts/principles if it yields progress and fits in line with your goals

His apex predator diet is down right masochistic.

I tried his as many as you can in 30 min with 90% workoukout (think he called it the man maker) doing deadlift... It was truely chaos and pain. Got 18 in 20 min then ripped off all the calluses on my left hand. It was an epic gym day, so now I am going to give some more of his stuff a try

I can't stand that guy, he is so annoying and hates absolutely everything in the world.
I much prefer Paul Carter's blog, Lift Run Bang. Much better information and reading.

This shit isn't rocket science- it's just that some of you need a rocket scientist to fire your asses in the right direction. Go lift something. ( Quoted from Chaos and Pain's site)

I LOVE THAT QUOTE.

I also highly enjoy his blog, he doesn't really have an exact program. What he does works for him, what you should take away is that you should experiment and find what works for you as an individual. But doing several sets of singles/doubles/or triples is a pretty good place to start.

As for his extremely low carb diet, it works very well, or at least for me. The only problem I have ever run into is social gatherings. So for the sake of enjoying hanging out with my friends I stopped.

I also read his blog and enjoy it. Sometimes you have to try and see through his hate and get to the good information. My log is posted above from when I ran the program. I ran the basics and I loved it.

Never really had an issue with recovery, but I rarely Deadlifted which helped. I love doing odd lifts. It is a lot of fun to go into the gym and just crush it.

Lots of fun, but the guy is a little crazy.

I love his blog, actually share a lot of his nihilistic/hedonistic views on life. Really dig his work ethic. He likes decent music too, introduced me to some pretty heavy stuff through his blog. After my next comp, I think I'm gonna employ some of his principles and just try build tons of mass and strength throughout the rest of the year - see if high frequency/intensity/volume can work long term for me. Seems fun, why not. I'll be sure to log it all here.
