Kman025's powerlifting goal
first of all, I know i'm a noob with terrible form!
I got into lifitng to look better. I realized no matter what my goal i needed to build strength. As most know i've been running a program with mostly compound lifts (3x5) with a little added hypertrophy work.
I've really been enjoying gaining strength. I love deadlifting and benching, right now hating squats (had to deload, and last workout i squated with a hurt knee, which ended up making knee worse). I loved squats a month ago and need to love them again becuase they are currently sucking.
I'd like to get into some sort of powerlifting meet within the next year. I'm looking around trying to find a meet to enter into. There are a few different things and i'm going to continute researching to find the one i want to do.
i found this: Ohio High School Power Lifting Meet
It is the results of some power lifting meet from 2007. According to these numbers, i could get to a point where i wouldnt be embarresed.
Deadlift- 275x5x3 also just did 310x1 easy with bum knee. think i could get at least 325 1rm currently.
Squat- 225x5x3 obviously need to get this up. Had problems with it.

I know it seems wierd how the all the numbers are multiples of 100, but these numbers actually make since. No matter what i want a 900lb total by then
By meet (to be able to be some what competitive)
obviously depending on when i the meet is i would set goals higher or lower. these would just be good numbers, that would allow me to be fairly competitive. these numbers are extremely high for me, maybe impossible with only a years worth of time, but i think, why not aim high?
Currently basically on a 3x5 with a little added hypertrophy work. I eventually would like to add in/replace with rep ranges of 1-3.

just wanted to put my goal in writing and let everyone know how my goals are changing
