Very subjective.

I reckon allot of people that say that admire the IBFF pros or the Mr. Olympias.

But I could round up just about every girl in my school, and ask them what they thought of Ronnie Coleman's physique, and they'd tell you he looked repulsive.

Personally, I'm not a fan of the looks of the top level bodybuilders physiques, powerlifters look allot more powerful and impressive to me.
I guess the fact that they lift to be strong rather than lift just to look good has something to do with it as well.
I couldn't really bring myself to eat all this food, and put effort into heavy lifts (heavy for me anyway) just for the sake of looking good. In the future I want to have muscle and look good, because I'm strong.

Thats my opinion. People will agree and disagree, but thats the case with every opinion anyones ever had.
I think in this case though this person on twitter is been stereotypical, of what a powerlifter looks like, and seems to think they're delivering a statement, rather than an opinion.

Good mind set. Most of those people are pumping some type of illegal substance in to them anyways. Sure, it's a means to an end and this subject has as many different opinions as abortion/gun control/politics has, but the my main point is that you should train to be strong and look good.

If you need to lose weight, take a break from eating so much and try to maintain weight. If you want to gain strength start eating. It's as easy as that.

the opposite of that is true. i suggest subscribing to Powerlifting USA and taking a look at all the lean people in the under superheaviweight classes.

1. they need to be within the weight boundaries of their weight class
2. they need to maximize lean mass and minimize fat % in order to maximize strength. this is part of why you see 148 lb. guys squatting near 400 lbs. or 165 lb. guys deadlifting in the high 500s.

It's almost not fair that you posted a pic of dan green in sweats. His legs are even more impressive than his shoulders.

The only thing I don't like about him is he looks like he should be in a rap metal band from 2003.
