Default Do forced reps help with strength training?

A small video by criticalbench giving a tip on strength training and forced reps. Would like to know what MAB thinks of it. Thanks.

Solid info. I grinded the last rep out yesterday on bench and I felt it the rest of the day. If I would have had any more struggles I would have said take it.

So in short, no point pushing yourselves for one more rep, I mean if anyone is helping you in a rep, that is not your rep, so the entire process is useless for powerlifters. Better do every rep with 100% effort from your side alone.

If a lifter is still adding reps each week by simply pushing AMAP during sets, then all this cursory stuff is simply a distraction.

After that point, by all means give it a try.
