'Tis true. I did. And I second the sandbag. It's all a n00b needs and will not get you "bulky". But then again, neither will powerlifting routines, but no one ever believes us. <facepalm>

P.S. I would not use this video for your routine. This is more for cardio, but at least it will give you some ideas. There are inifinite other things you can do with it.

Oh, also, this bag goes from 25lb. to 150lb. in 25lb. increments. I highly doubt I'll need all 150 any time soon though unless I'm doing some drags.

There is the video, just to show you an example of the bag and and a few things. If you go to youtube and search for sandbag exercises you will get a ton of hits and you can also search how to make a sandbag and once again you will get a ton of different ways to do it. Also sandbags are a good way for everyone else to mix things up. I like to hit mine up about once a week, just to mess with my body.

Use your creative mind, a lot of great bodies have been built without a gym or a barbell

Forgot about sandbags, car pushes, farmer's walks, the whole nine yards.

Where ever you can find something heavy, you can turn it into a workout.

Thats what I am talking about, you should never get bored with your workouts, just go outside and do something.

There are plenty of exercises to do with Dumbbells. Here are some Db Exercises you can do to get stronger:

Db Clean and Press
Db floor press
Db Skull crushers
Db Rows
Db Snatches
Db High Pulls
Db Overhead Squats
Db Hammer curls
Db front squats
Db Lunges
Db Stiff Legged deadlifts
Db crufix holds/side raises (w/pauses)
Db pull overs
Db concentration curls

* keep in mind you have the benefit of using one arm or leg at a time

Lots of strongman type trainings you can do as mentioned
Sandbags
Rock lifting
Car pushes

You can get a keg and fill it with water and have lots of fun.
When the keg is too light fill it with sand and then add water.

Calisthenics as mentioned work well.

Glad to hear it. Some weeks you hang on, and some weeks you rise above. But any week where you try is a victory.
